No, a condominium is not a timeshare. With OWN18, you are a co-owner, i.e. a true owner in a shared purchase.
This means that you become a shareholder in a registered company that owns a specific property. As a shareholder, you have access to the property, day-to-day control over it, and can use it in proportion to your invested share.
We take care of coordinating the co-owners and managing the property for you.

Some OWN18 properties can be rented out as second homes, to generate rental income.
As with all properties, you must be authorized to rent the property (seasonal rental license). And in all cases, you benefit from any potential added value of your investment.

Firstly, all OWN18 homes are located in areas with good infrastructure and a great season.
Secondly, OWN18 matches owners with compatible needs. For example, families with school-age children from different regions (so that they don’t have the same school vacation periods) are matched with childless couples, or families with adult offspring.
Finally, the OWN18 app lets you book your stay at any time – from two days to two years in advance.
On arrival, your belongings will be taken out of storage and the fridge will be stocked on request. -
After 1 year, you are free to sell your share at any time. You can either sell it to someone in your network, or we can help you find a buyer. One of the other co-owners may even want to take over your share, which is even simpler.
And in all cases, we offer a buy-back guarantee.

The share purchase price includes the following fees:
- Your share of the cost of ownership, according to the proportion you have chosen (1/8, 2/8, 3/8 or 4/8)
- Ancillary purchase costs (real estate transfer tax, legal fees, legal structure)
- Expert examination of the property
- Legal examination of the property
- Set-up of legal and tax structure
- Consulting fees, if any
- Renovation and modernization, including high-end furniture, fittings and equipment

Yes, your home is equipped with storage space for your personal belongings.

Running costs, maintenance, insurance, property taxes…
The co-owners share these costs equally and set aside a little more each month in a reserve fund. OWN18 takes care of all these payments for you.When you divide the costs into 8, you save a lot more for your vacation!

We appoint a residence manager to take care of all aspects of your second home, including local cleaning and gardening services, utilities, insurance, maintenance, repairs and interior renovations.

We believe that owners treat their second homes with care, but no one is immune to accidents. We’re here to help if anything happens during your stay, and we inspect every home at the end of every stay.
Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to the owner responsible.
